NCSF Statement on Pro Dom work and Prostitution statutes
Submitted by Elizabeth on 27 February 2009 - 10:02pm
I love the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom. The NCSF is one of those organizations you know you can count on to fight for the right to sexual expression even around stigmatized types of sexual expression like exchanging sex for money, or engaging in BDSM.
Prostitution arrests in Dungeons and porn shops (where prostitution may not have been occurring at all) have raised much concern, and NCSF advocates spoke with law enforcement representatives to find out how they're interpreting "prostitution". The findings are troubling and are reported below.

Survey of Violence & Discrimination Against Sexual Minorities
Submitted by Lolita on 19 September 2007 - 9:12amSeptember 19, 2007 – New York, NY - Susan Wright and Larry Iannotti would like to announce the launch of the second national Survey of Violence & Discrimination Against Sexual Minorities, being conducted in cooperation with the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom. This survey includes all of the questions asked on NCSF's ground-breaking 1998 Violence & Discrimination Against Sexual Minorities survey, and includes new questions on personal, business, and Internet discrimination experienced by BDSM-leather-fetish practitioners.
The link to the survey is on NCSF's website: www.ncsfreedom.org
Please take a minute to fill out this anonymous survey even if you have not been a victim of violence or discrimination. Demographic data and information about participation in a variety of BDSM-leather-fetish activities are also being gathered. This survey will be distributed for one year, and the results will be released in early 2009.

National Coalition for Sexual Freedom
August 27, 2007 - NCSF proud to be the only group in the country
with a national mission committed to changing the political,
legal and social environment for those involved with the BDSM,
swinging and polyamory communities. NCSF's six programs have
directly helped thousands of practitioners, businesses and
groups. Four of NCSF's programs began with the founding of NCSF
in 1997: the Media Outreach Project, Media Updates, Incident
Response, and the Legal Advocacy program.
NCSF's Incident Response team is directed by Leigha Fleming. Over
700 individuals, groups, attorneys, prosecutors, and businesses
contact NCSF for help every year because of persecution or
discrimination. NCSF assisted both International Mr. Leather and
Kink.com this year, continuing its decade-long practice of

to local communities and authorities.

Please write a short note of support for the Palmer House Hilton, host hotel for International Mr. Leather, thanking them for not discriminating against any guests or groups based on their sexual orientation. The anti-gay group, Americans For Truth, posted an action alert calling for people to protest the "homosexual orgies" that take place at the "sadistic sexual perversion-fest known as International Mr. Leather."
